The Best Things in Life Are Free

How many times have you thanked God for water?

I found this poem to be very encouraging, and I thought I'd pass it on to share the encouragement. :)
So here you go:

The Best Things in Life Are Free:
Written by Emily Matthews

When we count our many blessings,
It isn't hard to see
That life's most valued treasures
are the treasures that are free.
For it isn't what we own or buy
That signifies our wealth,
It's the special gifts that have no price-
Our family, friends, and health.

Isn't that so true? Remember to thank God for what you have, and not continually be whining to Him for more, more, more. I constantly have to remind myself to stop asking for things all the time and instead focus on being grateful for all the stuff I usually take for granted.
For example, how recently have you thanked God for:
Water? Electricity? Your Family? Food? Your Car? Good Health Care? A Clean Home to Live in?
Take some time to thank Him now for all He's done.
God Bless!

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is going to be another "Picture Post" because of how busy our family has been, but this time the picture's theme is going to be...

Love!
My awesome parents! :)
Don't worry, not awkward pictures...these pictures are just family love. ;P Hope you like them!

Me and my little brothers, Will and Sam. All in baseball caps
Margaret, Dad, and Sarah down at the Atlantic Ocean!

Me and Max, whom I affectionately call "My big little brother." :)

Brotherly love at it's best! :D

1 Corinthians 13:4-8a (NKJV)
Love suffers long and is kind;
love does not envy;
love does not parade itself,
is not puffed up;
does not behave rudely,
does not seek it's own,
is not provoked,
thinks no evil;
does not rejoice in iniquity,
but rejoices in the truth;
bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.
Love never fails.

Pictures

Because of our family's crazy busy schedule the last couple of days...actually the last couple of weeks, I decided that this week's blog post is just going to be some random pretty pictures from our trip to Cannon Beach. Photography is another one of my things that I enjoy doing, but I'm not very good at it. :) Hope you enjoy these!
There it is...Haystack Rock! :)

Every time I see how big this rock is, it reminds me of this verse:

Psalms 18:2
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

I love this picture of the crashing waves!
How great is our God, that even the crashing waves and mighty wind hear His voice and obey! All Jesus had to say was, "Peace, be still." And the waves ceased their raging. Wow...what an awesome God we serve!
I took this picture because the
reflection in the wet sand looked so cool.

One lonely seagull perched out on that rock.

This is a different angle of Haystack Rock.
It's big, isn't it?

It was such a beautiful day!
I love this picture that I took from on Haystack Rock.
 Here's one last verse that really shows how all creation tells us of its Maker, the great I AM.

Psalms 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.

Praise God for the constant reminders in everything we see around us of how mighty He is! From the smallest "simple" cell, to the stars that fill our sky, to the little baby in its mother's womb: everything shows how powerful, and yet loving, our Creator is. :)

God Bless You All! :D
