As a part of "The Twelve Days (before) Christmas", something a few of us bloggers are doing, I decided to post this song I wrote. It's not super Christmassy (is that even a word?) but I thought it went pretty well with the season...
What do you think?
(Tell me AFTER you read the lyrics to the song. ;P)
Enjoy!
God Is There:
Written by Rebekah Eddy
When
you’re alone
With
no one nearAnd silence is all that you hear,
When you’re undone
And know that you’re wrong
You find that He’s been there all along!
And
when you pray
Tell
Him your fearsHe’s there and He always hears.
He’ll take your load
Far, far away
And turn all your dark nights into day!
He’ll
give you joy
Instead
of griefYour doubts will turn into belief.
Give him your heart,
Turn from your sin:
Your new life with God can now begin!
And
when He comes
To
take us homeWhere there are no sighs or groans
We’ll live with Him
Eternally
And all His glory we will see!
No matter what you’ve done.
Humans sin
We can’t win
That’s why He sent His Son.
This is a great poem/song Rebekah! I especially love the chorus, where it goes "Humans sin, we can't win, That's why He sent His Son". So true and so beautifully put! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, the chorus is my favorite part of the song...also the Christmassy part. ;)
DeleteWhat a great song, Rebekah! I really like it. : )
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteWow, beautiful! You're talented, Rebekah! :) Do you/have you put your song to music?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for participating, Rebekah! This is already so much fun! :D
Thanks. Yes, I did write a piano accompaniment, and I'm trying to figure out how to write it out on sheet music...but not hand-written...long comment short, I haven't found out how to yet.
DeleteHope springs eternal. ;P
And you're welcome for participating! I'm enjoying it a LOT! :D
Do you mean write it out on the internet? Or like, write it out on real sheet music and then print it off? And neither of those questions probably made any sense. . . :P
DeleteWrite it out on the internet. And to me, those questions totally made sense. ;)
Delete"And when you pray, tell him your fears. He's there and he always hears. He'll take your load, far, far away and turn your dark nights into day."
