Here are my answers to her questions:
What are your top two favorite books?
Oh my. Only two?? Well, the Bible (duh) and probably a tie for second place between "The Hobbit" and "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe".
What are your top two favorite series?
"The Chronicles of Narnia" by C. S. Lewis and yet another tie for second place between "The Black Stallion" series by Walter Farley and "The Wingfeather Saga" by Andrew Peterson.
Who is your favorite fictional character?
Can it be one of mine? ;) If so, probably a tie for first between Alice and Alyssa. If not, I'd have to say I really loveAnne of Green Gables. :)
If any one of your favorite books could be made into a movie which one would you want it to be?
Can it be one of my own? ;) If so, "Alice & Alyssa" or "Thistle & Friends" would both make pretty good ones (if I do say so myself). If not, I wish someone out there could make a decent, close-to-the-book version of all the Narnian books...or The Hobbit for that matter. *sigh*
What is your favorite genre to read?
Some historical fiction, some fantasy, some mystery, and some biographies/autobiographies (if they're well written).
Do you have a favorite author?
C. S. Lewis...J. R. R. Tolkien...L. M. Montgomery...Louisa May Alcott...the list goes on! ;) So I suppose to answer your question, no I don't have A favorite author, I have lots! :)

Is there a book that you can hardly wait for it to come out?
I'm really looking forward to seeing both "The Silent Blade" by Jesseca Dawn and "The Last Ride" by Mrs. Marlow. Both authors are awesome and their books are well, not better, but very, VERY good! ;)

What was one of your favorite childhood books?
When I was first learning to read I really enjoyed books by Dr. Seuss. "Are You My Mother?", "And to Think that I Saw It On Mulberry St.!", and "Bartholomew Cubbins" to name a few favorites. :)

What was one of you favorite books when you were late elementary to middle school age?
The Chronicles of Narnia, Anne of Green Gables, and The Secret Garden to name a few that come immediately to mind.
What is your favorite book of the Bible?
ONLY ONE????? Oh my, this is going to be the hardest question yet! And there's been some hard ones!
Proverbs is very good. As is Romans. Ruth, Ester, the gospels...the list goes on!
WHY DID YOU HAVE TO ASK THAT QUESTION????
Hope you enjoyed my answers! Now for....
A quick update on my life:
Currently, on top of my busy schedule, I've been enjoying my new baby cousin Henry Mark Olson!! Super cute and only six days old, he's been getting fought over by siblings and cousins alike. ;) Extra special: he was born on my oldest sister's (Sarah's) birthday! So now she has a birthday buddy at long last!
You'll be hearing from me come Valentine's Day...yes, that's a promise! :)

ReplyDeleteHehe, your favorite genre sounds like mine. I love reading a variety of books too! :)
Oh, that totally made my day when you added 'The Silent Blade' as a book you are looking forward to having published!! ^_^
Romans is really good. Probably my very favorite, or a tie with Ecclesiastes.
Oh, how fun!! I LOVE babies!! And I bet that's really special for Sarah. :)
Same here. ;) I really am looking forward to seeing "The Silent Blade" get published! :)
DeleteIsn't it so hard to pick a favorite book of the Bible? It took me like ten minutes to figure out what to answer!
Me too. It's so fun to have a new baby so close by. We get to hold and cuddle him almost every day! :)
Thanks for doing the tag, Rebekah! I enjoyed reading all your-bookish answers. xD
ReplyDeleteOh, I just started reading the Chronicles of Narnia for the first time! I'm in "The Magican's Nephew" right now. :)
Haha, I asked the same thing about question #4!! So I gave one of my characters and others. ;)
My answer to #7 was the same too – "The Last Ride" and "The Silent Blade"!! I've read the first since I did this tag. It's SO good!!! :D
Aww, a new baby! How fun. :)

He is a lot of fun! (Emphasis on "a lot") :D
It looks like we have many of the same favorite authors, series, and childhood books. You'll see what I mean when I do the tag. (STILL haven't gotten around to it...) Thanks for sharing!
